I wanna go up for the Celtic game, be my first north of the border, but I don’t reckon jimmy krankie will let us up there.

Got a mATE in Dundee who moved up many years ago, like to go and see him maybe too. It’s a country I’d like to spend a bit of time in, and have a drive around visit some grounds and take in a few games someday.

Re: Scottish football
The real mystery about Scottish football is the fact that it used to be of a decent standard.

Not only did their club sides win stuff in Europe, but almost every English team had excellent Scottish players who were important to the side.

Now they are about where you'd expect them to be for a country of their size.

The strongest similarity about then and now is the dominance of the big two.

SUPER CALLEY GO BALISTIS CELTIC ARE ATROCIOUS.

So read the headline on the back pages a few years back after Caledonian Thistle beat Celtic 3-1 in the cup.

I seem to remember many years ago on here WHO posters adopted EAST STIRLING as their team because they always finished BOTTOM.

When was the deep-fried Mars bar invented?

This may be part of the explanation of the decline of Scottish football, although it has nothing to do with the position from which it declined.

I remember years ago on here when there were plans afoot for a load of WHOers to go up to a Scottish lower league game.

Think it should happen.

Arbroath for me, try one of the Smokies and die happy knowing you've visited the club in the whole of Europe, who have their ground closer to the sea than any other.

That was me. I started a thread about East Stirling, some people expressed an interest in hiring a minibus and going to a game.

I went on an East Stirling chat forum about it, and one of the blokes on there was a director of the club ir something like that, said we'd be more than welcome and they'd lay on some food for us.

If course nibody got round to it though.

He said a load of blokes from BURNLEY had done the same road trip a few years previously

Len, I thought it was, but couldn't remember whether pig destroyer had first came up with the idea.

Think it should still happen, with WHOers descending from all corners of the globe.

Some random club and then every year.

I've never had an Arbroath Smokie, but you mentioning it has suddenly created a strong desire to try one immediately.

Yes, that should happen.

I think East Stirling have finally dropped out of the league now though.

Let's make it Cowdenbeath.

I've been up there for work about 10 times in the past year. Nice little town, a few brilliant little pubs.

Obviously not been in the ground, but there's an Indian restaurant in the car park.

Sort it out then.

You're in charge.
